I just want to start off by saying how excited I am about the pool this year.
I recently attended a Certified Pool Operator training class in Little Rock. The class was very knowledgeable about the regulations and guidelines of running a pool, pool water contamination, chemical testing and distributing, and how to troubleshoot problems with the pool.
The baby pool has been completed. We have added 4ft to both ends along with a beach entrance or slope entrance to make it safer for the little ones to get in and out of the pool. Remember we ask that children 4 and under are the only ones swimming in the baby pool.
We have purchased a larger refrigerator and flat grill this year for the Snack Bar. This will allow us to expand our menu. Feel free to call in your orders to the snack bar at (870)336-1473. This is also great for golfers.
One of the problems we had last year was that guests were not signing in. We have ordered armbands for guests to wear while they are visiting the pool. This will also eliminate guests charging food to the members account at the snack bar. This year you will enter the pool through the cabana area, not the restrooms or the snack bar. An employee will be at the sign in table at all in times to make sure everyone gets signed in. Guests MUST wear their armband the entire time they are at the pool, if a guest is caught taking their armband off they will be asked to leave.
I want to thank everyone for allowing me to manage the pool again this summer. This will be my 4th year at the pool, and every year I believe it keeps getting better and better. If you are interested in your child taking swim lessons contact me. We have three lifeguards this year who have given swim lessons in the past. They usually fill up fast so don’t wait. Also we are thinking of doing a swim clinic on Monday afternoon. Please let us know your thoughts on this.
