Golf Cart Procedures
As the weather is getting warmer and activity will pick up on the golf course may we remind you of our rules regarding golf carts:
- Each operator shall operate golf carts in a careful and safe manner.
- Members are fully responsible for any injury to person or property, including damage to the golf cart while in their use by members of their family or their guests. Neither the Club nor the Golf Professional shall be liable for any injury to person or property, which might result from use of a golf cart.
- Club-owned carts may not be operated by any person under the age of 16. Persons 16 and older may operate privately owned carts on Club premises. Otherwise, an adult must accompany the driver.
- Members with privately owned carts may seek a waiver for 14 and 15 year olds at the Golf Pro Shop. Improper operation will result in cancellation of the waiver at the discretion of the Golf Committee.
- Signs, cart paths and ropes will guide the direction of the carts.
- Golf carts may not be driven any closer than 20 yards to any green or marked areas, except when a cart path is being utilized, or signs require a return to the cart path.
- Golf carts may not leave cart paths on any par 3 hole.
- When operating a cart the driver should avoid any worn areas, ground under repair or bare areas within the rough. The driver should utilize the 90-degree rule to leave and return to the cart path. A sign at number 1 tee will indicate whether carts are allowed off the paths or required to stay on the paths.
- No more than two riders are allowed on any club-owned cart.
- All golf cart riders must be seated.
