The Jonesboro Country Club Course is a 6111 Yard Par 71.
Ratings from the Blue tees 69.2/119
Ratings from the White tees 67.3/116
Ratings from the Red tees 71.2/119

USGA Rules Govern all Play except where local rules prevail

Number 1 : From the Blues 401, From the Whites 389, From the Reds 327, Handicap Number 1 : From the Blues 401, From the Whites 389, From the Reds 327, Handicap

From an elevated tee box this Par 4 requires a well-placed drive. For the moderate hitter the play is to the left of the tall, dense pines. For the long hitter the hole can be shortened considerably by going over the trees, leaving a short iron or a wedge to a good sized green that slopes back towards the fairway.

Number 2 : From the Blues 143, From the Whites 137, From the Reds 127, Handicap Number 2 : From the Blues 143, From the Whites 137, From the Reds 127, Handicap

From an elevated tee, the Par 3 second hole can be quite a challenger. The wind will determine club selection and the pin placement will determine the extent to which the water comes into play.

Number 3 : From the Blues 501, From the Whites 490, From the Reds 408, Handicap Number 3 : From the Blues 501, From the Whites 490, From the Reds 408, Handicap

This Par 5 is a good birdie opportunity providing one's drive is well placed. The tee introduces the golfer to one of the many tree lined fairways at JCC. A good risk/reward hole with a well guarded green.

Number 4 : From the Blues 376, From the Whites 367, From the Reds 322, Handicap Number 4 : From the Blues 376, From the Whites 367, From the Reds 322, Handicap

This challenging Par 4 plays entirely up hill and requires two excellent golf shots to reach a modest sized elevated green. Par is a respectable score on this, our most difficult hole.

Number 5 : From the Blues 541, From the Whites 494, From the Reds 400, Handicap Number 5 : From the Blues 541, From the Whites 494, From the Reds 400, Handicap

This Par 5 is reachable in two only by the longest of hitters. On the approach shot the golfer will be challenged by a large tree and water, both of which guard a substantial green that slopes form right to left.

Number 6 : From the Blues 133, From the Whites 106, From the Reds 90, Handicap 1 Number 6 : From the Blues 133, From the Whites 106, From the Reds 90, Handicap 1

This is the shortest hole on the course which is not to say that it is the easiest. The golfer is confronted with an elevated tee that plays over water. Club selection is of quintissential importance on this Par 3's shallow green.

Number 7 : From the Blues 506, From the Whites 496, From the Reds 443, Handicap Number 7 : From the Blues 506, From the Whites 496, From the Reds 443, Handicap

Although slightly over 500 yards, the hole plays much longer. It is entirely up hill and requires two or three excellent golf shots to reach an elevated green. Trees line virtually the entire hole and golfers are justly rewarded for errant shots.

Number 8 : From the Blues 200, From the Whites 175, From the Reds 164, Handicap Number 8 : From the Blues 200, From the Whites 175, From the Reds 164, Handicap

The eighth hole is the longest of the Par 3's. It requires a well struck long iron or fairway wood. Although it has no bunkers or obstacles to speak of, it yields few birdies.

Number 9 : From the Blues 341, From the Whites 331, From the Reds 322, Handicap Number 9 : From the Blues 341, From the Whites 331, From the Reds 322, Handicap

A deceiving Par 4 that rewards or bites based almost entirely on the individual's tee shot. Beware of the pines on the right. A well placed ball leaves an uphill, mid to short iron to a generous green.

Number 10 : From the Blues 367, From the Whites 316, From the Reds 266, Handicap Number 10 : From the Blues 367, From the Whites 316, From the Reds 266, Handicap

Perhaps best served by using an iron or fairway wood off the tee. There is out of bounds to the left and a large tree guards the entire left half of the green.

Number 11 : From the Blues 350, From the Whites 341, From the Reds 254, Handicap Number 11 : From the Blues 350, From the Whites 341, From the Reds 254, Handicap

Out of bounds looms to the left on this slight dog right. Long hitters may try to cut the dog leg by taking it over the trees leaving a short iron while modest hitters will take a more conservative approach leaving a mid iron.

Number 12 : From the Blues 160, From the Whites 133, From the Reds 114, Handicap Number 12 : From the Blues 160, From the Whites 133, From the Reds 114, Handicap

A straight forward Par 3. The wind and pin placement can effect the tee shot by as many as three clubs. The green slopes rather sharply from back to front.

Number 13 : From the Blues 380, From the Whites 356, From the Reds 304, Handicap Number 13 : From the Blues 380, From the Whites 356, From the Reds 304, Handicap

The ideal tee shot should be hit from left to right. If this shot is exercised propoperly, the golfer is rewarded with a short to mid iron into a green that slopes severly from back to front. Guard against a down hill putt that will result in lost strokes.

Number 14 : From the Blues 331, From the Whites 310, From the Reds 302, Handicap Number 14 : From the Blues 331, From the Whites 310, From the Reds 302, Handicap

The ideal tee shot is one that moves from right to left. One is then confronted with a blind, uphill shot to a generous green. Trees line both sides of this tight long dog leg.

Number 15: From the Blues 403 From the Whites 378, From the Reds 359, Handicap 2 Number 15: From the Blues 403 From the Whites 378, From the Reds 359, Handicap 2

A long Par 4, particularly when it plays into the wind. The fairway slopes from left to right rewarding the golfer that plays to the left. Dense trees line both sides of the deceivingly long golf hole.

Number 16: From the Blues 476 From the Whites 463, From the Reds 407, Handicap 8 Number 16: From the Blues 476 From the Whites 463, From the Reds 407, Handicap 8

This par 5 plays entirely uphill into a prevailing wind which makes getting home in two challenging for the best of golfers. The fairway slopes, virtually assuring the golfer of an awkward lie. The green is well guarded and somewhat blind.

Number 17: From the Blues 173 From the Whites 150, From the Reds 137, Handicap 1 Number 17: From the Blues 173 From the Whites 150, From the Reds 137, Handicap 1

This is a complex Par 3 for a couple of reasons. First it is difficult to line up due to a grove of trees on the right of the green. Secondly, the green is fast and slopes from back to front. Iron selection is important to be on the proper level of this two tier green.

Number 18: From the Blues 329 From the Whites 319, From the Reds 310, Handicap 1 Number 18: From the Blues 329 From the Whites 319, From the Reds 310, Handicap 1

The 18th is a beautiful fininshing hole. The play off the tee is down the right directly at our fountain. This leaves the golfer with a mid to short iron into a green that slopes heavily from back to front. This hole is quite lovely in the late afternoon as the sun begins to set.
